Now that's what I call fit to print

Our head of marketing is featured in the NY Times today. I prepared extensive statistics on the history of the Now brand for the interview. Of course none of that ended up making it into print. He did wear a snazzy vest though.

Amazon MP3 Store

I don't know if any of you have used the Amazon MP3 store, but today one of our artists, Jessie Baylin, has her album sale priced at $0.99. For a variety of reasons, it would be beneficial for this to generate a large number for us, so if you have the time today (and today only), please buy a copy. If you don't like it, I promise to reimburse you the dollar it costs. Click here for a link to the album.

Avenge Me!

Even though nobody reads this blog, I couldn't let this article on Red Dawn pass without alerting Reed. Mr. Carey, have you rewatched this one recently? Has it lost anything the way it has for the Slate author?

Also, who knew they were remaking it?

This is Mike Altman:

He went to Georgetown with us and rowed crew.

He's going to the Olympics.

If only Reed wasn't the laziest man alive...

Crapulence Meter Alums in the News

Interesting...

I liked this description: "Dillon is not just a state government functionary. He's an experienced political operative who ran Culver's gubernatorial campaign in 2006 and worked on John Edwards's 2004 caucus effort. In other words, he knows what he's doing."

Who is at Illinois State University?

One of the strange benefits of my last post was that I could see who clicked on the link from the crapulence meter and visited the baby blog (or at least see what network the traffic came from). Well now the results are in, and I see that Will Schisa (or somebody living in Arlington, VA) clicked on the link, and also that a mystery person clicked on the link from the servers at Illinois State University. So I ask, who the hell is on this blog that currently finds him or herself in Normal, IL?

A Quick Breakdown of the Candidates:

1) Reed Carey (2 to 1) - It's been almost 2 whole years since he last was completing a useless degree, clearly the itch has to have started again. Additionally, he always was high on the SST.

2) Patrick Dillon (3 to 1) - Perhaps his love of out of the way locales (Rapid City, Des Moines, etc) has extended to educational work at one? Clearly his candidates been out of the race for a while.

3) John Ngo (8 to 1) - I'd imagine there is plenty of both religion and perversion in the heartland.

4) Brad Boyle (12 to 1) - While I could see him getting a teaching gig there, it's way to far from Toledo for somebody that lazy.

5) Ted Fischer (15 to 1) - Despite the proximity to his hometown of St. Louis, this seems way to middle-america of a place for Ted to be checking in from.

6) Y Lupu (20 to 1) - Y not?

If you are out there mysterious reader of c-meter, please identify yourself in the comments.
