I got nothing against Chaney. Hell, anyone who threatens to kill John Calipari is all right with me. But am I the only one who thinks there should be a little bit more outrage over the fact that he sent someone in the game to break some St. Joseph's kid's arm?
A one game suspension? Shouldn't he be getting fired for this? And shouldn't it be getting a little more press? I mean, it's not as despicable as Randy Moss pretending to moon the Green Bay crowd, but February's a slow sports month...

The regular season. He's back for the A-10 tournament. Unlike the guy his "goon" took out.
For the penalty to be truly adequate, I think Temple should at least have to forfeit its win over Georgetown. That'll learn the bastards.
Frankly, I thought Chaney was being overly difficult on himself to begin with. If all he did was tell the guy to get in there and commit some hard fouls, then I don't see much of a problem. Just because it happened to end up in a broken arm, while it is unfortunate, is only partialy Chaney's fault. It is after all a contact sport, the guy could have broken his arm playing basketball regardless of whether there was a goon on the floor. Plus, by this logic should John Thompson have to retroactively sit out like a million games for all the goons we used to play in the 80s and 90s? What the hell would TNT do for a color analyst?
