As I was driving from Washington to New York yesterday, I needed to make a stop to get a bite to eat and relieve myself, so I pulled off the NJ Turnpike into one of the turnpike's many reststops, only to discover that I had inadvertently chosen the "Woodrow Wilson" reststop. You can imagine my horror. Both that I had chosen this reststop - and that New Jersey, which otherwise seems like a perfectly reasonable state, would name one of its reststops after a man so richly deserving a beating. But what could I do...the next one wasn't for 22 miles. I did kick the building for good measure, but it seemed to have no effect.
Also, the store inside didn't have the usual selection of overpriced crappy CD's. How will bands like Saxon earn their royalties now?
Finally, no Bill, I didn't stop in Baltimore on the way.

Reed, you were in DC and didn't call me? We could have gone to good guys and i could have expensed it as "recruiting"!
How did the firm in London treat you? You going back there?
Will, how would you have expensed it, all as one entry, or in $1 increments?
By the way, just in case you recruit MBAs? Let me go on the record now and say I'll be in town September 12th.
I was in town for less than 12 hours flew in tuesday night and left for NYC Wednesday morning. Although seeing as how recruiting season is back in full swing, I might need a recruiting trip to Goodguys. The London firm treated me extremely well - the summer was awesome. But I'm re-interviewing right now. I think for the time being New York is a better choice, for alot of reasons.
