Saw this in the Hoya today. Was pleased to see we're playing Duke and really happy to get Syracuse at home this year, since I may not see the Orange otherwise.
But can someone explain this sentence to me?
"In the Hispanic Classic, Georgetown will travel to Oregon and tentatively compete against Stetson and Savannah State."
So we're going to Oregon to play a crappy team from Florida and a REALLY crappy team from Georgia? And it somehow benefits Hispanics? Is the University of Oregon involved at all?
And if we're going to be out there already, why not schedule the first leg of a home and home with Gonzaga?

So are all three of those games related to the "Hispanic Classic," or just the Oregon game?
Isn't Savannah State the program that was featured in SI and ESPN last year as the worst team in college basketball history? That can't be good for the ol RPI...
