Laura and I just got back from a little post graduation trip to Thailand. We spent 3 nights in Bangkok and a week in Phuket. Thailand is awesome, and I highly recommend you check it out if you have the chance. BKK is a really cool city -- like New York but hotter and with more Transvestites (asian men that look almost as pretty as Eddy). Highlights included this place called Bed Supperclub, where the meals were served in bed. Sadly we were not there for models night, but let the record state that I did not kick Laura out of bed for eating, although no crackers were served. Also, if you need a custom suit/shirt/tux made, I highly recommend the Rajawongse brothers. As you can see by some of their clientele below, they do some pretty good work, and have been featured in the New York and LA Times. You can send them measurements and get dress shirts custom made for only $25 (plus shipping).

Phuket was slightly more relaxing although there were still plenty of tranies. We stayed at the J.W. Marriott, which was fab (especially the breakfast buffet that included ice cream amongst other things). Interestingly enough we met some girl at the marriott bar from DC, who works for a company building highrises in Ballston. I accused her of killing carpool, but since she didn't know what it was, the conversation was rather onesided. Besides picking fights, getting fatter and drinking at the swim up bar, we also got out to see a few things. The following two snaps are from our kayaking trip around the islands of Phang Na bay (a couple James Bond movies have been filmed there).
Although not as exciting as the cave kayaking, we also sailed out to Phi Phi island (where they filmed the movie "The Beach"). Unfortunately the waves were too rough to go ashore, so this is as close as we got.
